Sic Bo Dice Simulator

Sic Bo is a dice game of Chinese origin where you bet on how three dice will land: a big or small total, an exact total, a double, a triple or a pair of numbers. This simulator has the full betting board and 1,000 free play chips, so you can learn how every bet works without risking anything.

Every roll uses your browser's cryptographic random number generator. The odds table shows the exact chance and house edge of each bet, worked out from all 216 ways three dice can land.

How to play Sic Bo

  1. Choose a chip value: 5, 10, 25 or 100.
  2. Tap bets on the board to place chips. Switch to Remove chips to take some back.
  3. Press Roll the dice. Winning bets light up and pay out; chips on losing bets are lost.
  4. Press Repeat last bets to play the same bets again, or Reset chips to start over.

Sic Bo bets and payouts

  • Big (11 to 17) and Small (4 to 10) pay 1 to 1, but both lose on any triple.
  • An exact total pays from 6 to 1 (totals 9 to 12) up to 60 to 1 (totals 4 and 17).
  • A specific double pays 10 to 1, a specific triple 180 to 1, and any triple 30 to 1.
  • A two-dice combination, such as a 2 and a 5, pays 5 to 1.
  • A single number pays 1 to 1 for each die that shows it.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best bet in Sic Bo?

On this board, Big and Small have the lowest house edge, about 2.8%. Single numbers come next at about 7.9%. Totals, doubles and triples pay more but have much higher house edges.

Why do Big and Small lose on a triple?

That's where the house edge comes from. Without the triple rule, Big and Small would be an even 50/50 bet.

Are these the same payouts as a casino?

They're a common payout table, but casinos vary. Some pay less on totals, doubles or triples, which raises the house edge.

Is this real-money gambling?

No. You play with free chips that have no value. There's nothing to buy and no sign-up.

How many ways can three dice land?

216 (6 × 6 × 6). Totals of 10 and 11 are the most common, with 27 ways each. Totals of 3 and 18 are the rarest, with one way each.
